Rivers – life
veins of the landscape –
often have
a great impact on the
development of a region. It's especially
visible in the Bavarian/Upper-Austrian
border region. This is where the river
Danube and the Alpine river Inn
are united,
in the world famous city of Passau to
become
central Europe‘s
longest river,
known as the Danube. Influence from
foreign cultures have travelled
into
this
region via the Danube and Inn. These are
important trade routes
and already existed
in the past. With Italian builders shaping
numerous churches, profane constructions
and indeed
entire districts.
